Bird diverters (also called bird flight diverters) are visual markers fixed at regular intervals along overhead power lines. Birds often fail to see thin conductors, especially during migration, low light, fog, or high-speed flight. Diverters make the lines visible early enough for birds to change direction.

Reflective bird diverters are hanging or clamp-on objects made from shiny plastics or metals that spin, wiggle, or flash in light to get birds’ attention and change their flight path. With UV-reactive and glow-in-the-dark elements that birds can see better than humans, increasing their visibility in low light.
